218,xxx Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone, High F#, Video Demo
Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 218041. It's fairly rare to find an American assmebled/engraved Mark VI with a high F# key. At the time, this was a $30 add-on cost, and most customers went with the less expensive version. These days, a high F# key is a must for many saxophonists, so this is a great opportunity to find a vintage Mark VI with the added high F# key.
The sax is in fantastic playing condition. The previous owner overhauled the sax shortly before I acquired it, so the pads, felts and corks are in new condition. My tech just went through the horn again, ensuring that the pads are sealing perfectly. The sax doesn't have its original coat of lacquer, but the condition of the lacquer is excellent and nearly blemish free. The tone holes look to be in great condition and are not excessively buffed. The sax comes in a ProTec case.
