221,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with approximately 95% original lacquer. This sax just came back from receiving a full top of the line overhaul from one of the best repair techs in the US. The sax feels tremendous. The keywork was meticulously adjusted, giving the horn an incredibly smooth feel, arguably better than when it first came out of the factory. The sax has Pisoni pads and plastic resonators. The neck is original to the horn and has never been bent down. There is an area of missing lacquer near the top of the horn, where a small ding was removed. Otherwise, the horn is very clean and has no resolder marks.
This sax has a great tonal balance. It has plenty of pop and projection, but there's a roundness and complexity to the core of the sound. It strikes me as being a very versatile Mark VI that can excel in many different settings.
