225,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with approximately 99% original lacquer. This sax is in wonderful condition, having been overhauled by Emilo Lyons in Boston. The pads are still in great shape and have most of their life left. The sax feels tight and locked in, as you'd expect with restoration work of his quality. He also built up the high E and palm key F keys, which make them easier to play. These can be removed, but I find them to be a nice ergonomic upgrade. Cosmetically, the sax is in excellent condition, and the lacquer has very few blemishes. My repairman removed some dents/dings in the bow area, but otherwise the horn is very clean for its age. The sax comes with the original neck which is in excellent condition and has never been pulled down. It comes in the original case. Both zippers function well, but one is missing its lead. This sax has an optional high F#, which is a must for many saxophonists these days.
This is a fine example of a late Mark VI. It has excellent projection without being overly bright, and would be an incredible lead alto or jazz combo horn.
