Many players and collectors consider the late 13x,xxx through 14x,xxx serial range to be one of the best periods for Selmer Mark VI altos. Selmer had recently changed to the medium bow length shortly before this sax was made, which is part of what makes this vintage so desirable. Players including David Sanborn and Kenny Garrett have played and collected altos from this general era.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis sax has about everything you could ask for in a great Mark VI alto. It plays impeccably well, and you can tell it was previously owned by a world-class musician with the ear and experience to choose an exceptional instrument and keep it playing up to its potential. The pads are in great condition overall, seal well, and have most of their life left.
