The sax has its original lacquer, with over 95% still intact. It was just serviced by my repairman, so the pads are sealing well and the sax is playing evenly from top to bottom. The pads are in good shape overall and still have a lot of life left, so the next owner should get a long stretch of maintenance free playing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"603\"\u003eThe sax includes the original case and original neck. The neck has never been bent down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"973\"\u003eThis alto has the same bow length as the earlier David Sanborn era 140,xxx Mark VI altos. In other words, this is a medium bow, but it is slightly longer than the later 1970s Mark VI altos. For players who pay attention to these details, this is a nice middle ground and one of the things that makes this vintage so appealing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1201\"\u003eThe condition is excellent overall. There is one repair to mention: the low Eb key guard foot was resoldered. The work was done well, and there is some extra spot lacquer applied to that area to help prevent additional tarnishing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1441\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"\u003eOverall, this is a clean, original lacquer Mark VI alto with a great setup, original neck, original case, and a desirable medium bow body.
