He replaced one pad and regulated the rest, so the horn is feeling locked in. The pads are in great condition with most of their life remaining.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sax has almost none of its lacquer left, and I really like the way it looks. The oxidation is all surface level and cosmetic. It is always difficult to say with certainty whether a horn with this little lacquer has been relacquered. After looking it over carefully, I am going to call it a relacquer to be on the safe side, although it would not surprise me if others disagreed. The engraving is very clear on the bell and looks a little more faded on the bow. I do not see any other areas that give an obvious indication that the finish is not original.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. It has never been pulled down.
