My repairman just serviced it prior to sale. The pads seal perfectly, the horn feels very well adjusted, and it speaks effortlessly down to low Bb.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAltos from around 90,xxx through the early 100,xxx range have a great reputation. They tend to have a bigger, fuller voice, with more body in the low register. That's exactly what I hear in this one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis sax has a really nice sound. It's big and rich in harmonics, and I'd put it slightly on the bright side tonally. The long bow gives the low register a lot of body, and the bell notes speak easily.
