Selmer Mark VI offer for Nick
91991 Mark VI tenor saxophone
Beautiful original lacquer, 95% present, very clean overall
Original neck, matching serial number, no pull down
Physically, it's very clean overall; some areas on the back side have wear from normal use. There is some overspray lacquer near the top. My guess is that the post may have been dented in and subsequently repaired and resoldered. Nothing major.
My tech just serviced the horn, which has an old set of pads with nylon resonators. The horn speaks incredibly well especially considering the age of the pads.
Incredible tone and feel. I really like this horn. It's a touch more laid back than a 95,xxx that I recently had, but in a great way. Dark, complex voice that won't struggle to project. This is a much better horn in my opinion than the 92,xxx I also have for sale. The sax comes in a ProTec case that's in somewhat rough condition. If you're interested in getting a Bam case along with the horn, I'd be happy to sell it to you at my cost. Should only take a few days to get in from Bam, assuming your choice is in stock. I would highly recommend this horn to anyone. It's a great playing sax!
