This is Yamaha's top of the line professional tenor sax and one of the best tenors being made today. The previous owner is a DC military band musician and one of the very best classical saxophone players in the country. He played this horn with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra among others, and it was also used on the Baltimore Symphony's Naxos recording of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet with Marin Alsop conducting.

The sax is in excellent overall condition. There's some light wear from normal use, but no history of significant repairs. The neck is the E1 that this model comes with, and it has never been pulled down. The sax comes in its original Yamaha Custom case. The horn was serviced regularly by its previous owner. The pads are in great condition and seal well. It feels perfectly set up, as you'd expect from a working pro's horn.

I play this same model professionally, and it is an incredible horn. The response is super even from top to bottom, and the tone is dark, resonant and gorgeous. It's very responsive, and the intonation is excellent. You barely have to work to keep things in tune.
