Here is an early Mark VI tenor saxophone that is in excellent condition with approximately 95% of its original lacquer remaining. The neck is original to the horn with a matching serial number. It has never been pulled down. This sax has no dents or dings, and is very straight for a horn of this vintage. The low Eb key guard foot was resoldered in the past, but it was not the result of any sort of dent or trauma -- there's no evidence of dent repair where it was resoldered. The original owner recently replaced a handful of pads, so it's a mix of new and old pads. The horn plays very well from top to bottom, with a beautiful full and complex tone. It may need some adjustments after shipping, but you could easily take this horn to a gig tonight if you wanted. The sax comes in a newer (Yamaha Custom) case.

John Coltrane played on a 125,xxx Mark VI tenor, and this one is only 89 numbers off.
