1968 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 153937. This sax has its original lacquer, with around 90% remaining. This is a great playing 1960s Mark VI tenor with the kind of centered, resonant, and sweet sound that makes this vintage so great. It is not overly aggressive or bright, but it still has plenty of presence and response. For me, this horn has a classic 1960s Mark VI vibe with a balanced, focused core.

This saxophone was just serviced by my repairman, who replaced one pad and made sure the horn is sealing well throughout. Most of the pads appear to be original. The sax plays well in all registers, and the response feels even from top to bottom. There is a fair amount of surface oxidation, mainly around the engraving, but this is cosmetic and does not affect the playing condition of the saxophone. The engraving is still crisp, and the horn has a nice vintage look. This tenor comes in a brand new Bam Conservatoire case.
