1947 Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) alto saxophone, s/n 36358. This saxophone has its original lacquer with approximately 90% present. It was just overhauled by Eric Beach, who does exceptional repair work. Eric takes time to carefully rebuild and optimize the keywork, so there is no lost motion in any keys. The result is a horn that feels as good as it did the day it left the factory. Eric used Pisoni Pro pads and domed rivetless metal resonators, similar in shape to what the horn originally had.
The sax plays great. It has a sweet, expressive sound that can really project when you want it to. The entire range speaks easily. The sax comes in a padded ProTec case.
