DC Sax began in 2014 with the goal of building a small business focused on exceptional saxophones and a desire to serve the musical community. What started as a small, focused operation has matured significantly over the past decade. Today, DC Sax purchases and supplies hundreds of saxophones and other professional musical instruments each year to clients nationwide.
2026 marks an exciting new chapter for DC Sax owner Paul Tucker, who is retiring after 20 years of active duty military service, most recently serving as the Principal Saxophonist in The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" in Washington, D.C. Alongside his military service, Paul is an active performer with premier area orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and The Washington National Opera Orchestra. This work has given him a deeply rooted understanding of the mechanical, structural, and tonal demands expected by discerning players.
