I have bought and sold over 2,500 saxophones since DC Sax started. Most were professional horns that went to working players. A few dozen were something else: horns from Adolphe Sax's own workshop in the 1850s and 1860s, the short run of Selmer Jimmy Dorsey models, Mark VI tenors that were never played, low A altos, Varitone rigs with the amplifier still working, and factory finishes Selmer offered for only a year or two.
