1966 138,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone, 99% Original Lacquer, High F#, Video, Fresh Overhaul
1966 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone with approximately 99% original lacquer. This is a one-owner horn that is in excellent original condition. It was purchased as a gift from the owner's parents on a visit to Paris. It has original silver plated keys, which was rare factory upgrade that is typically only seen from French assembled Mark VI's. The previous owner also installed a microphone pickup on the neck, which my repairman removed and filled with a flush mount plug. Virtually all of the lacquer is still intact, and there are few signs of use. My tech just performed an overhaul on the sax, so it's playing very well from top to bottom.
This is a great sounding Mark VI that is on the darker end of the tonal spectrum. It has a beautiful, velvety voice that can easily fill up a room when you push it.
