Buffet Super Dynaction Soprano Saxophone, Near Mint, 99% Original Lacquer, RARE
1974 22,xxx Buffet Super Dynaction soprano saxophone in near mint condition. Here is an ultra rare soprano saxophone which very few were ever made. Perhaps a telling feature of the rarity of this soprano saxophone is that the serial number was hand engraved near the bell flare. This sax came from the estate of a Buffet collector who kept all of his instruments in top condition. This one has a fresh looking overhaul and the pads are in perfect condition. My tech performed a full service prior to sale, so the sax is playing very well and effortlessly in all registers. The sax comes in a vintage Yamaha case.
Super Dynaction saxophones have a tremendous reputation, and given how this soprano plays, its reputation is equally deserved. The sound is incredibly rich and sweet. The ergonomics feel better than other sopranos of this vintage since the palm keys open on the side of the sax instead of in front. I really like how this horn plays.
