Near Mint 1947 Selmer SBA Super Balanced Action Alto Saxophone, Video, Overhaul
1947 Selmer Super Balanced Action SBA alto saxophone, s/n 37216. The lacquer is original and 99%+ remains. This saxophone was just overhauled by Eric Beach, who does fantastic repair work. Eric used Prisoni Pro pads and domed rivetless resonators, similar in form to what the horn originally had. Eric's key fitting is excellent, so the horn feels tight and locked in, arguably better playing than when it left the factory. The sax comes in its original case and case cover, although only the case cover zippers work.
This is an exceptional playing SBA. It has a gorgeous, expressive sound that can still carry and project when pushed.
