Selmer Mark VI soprano saxophone, s/n 253686. This saxophone has its original lacquer and 99% is present. It has an optional high F#, which is a must for many players. This sax was just serviced by my repairman prior to sale. He replaced the neck cork, four key corks and four felts and reset any leaking pads. The pads are on the older side, but are sealing well and I can get around effortlessly on the horn. The sax comes in the original case which is in good condition, but has a whiff of an old case smell.

This sax has an interesting history that is worth telling. I acquired the sax from the second owner, who had it in his possession for approximately 25 years. He bought the sax from the high school band director in Beaumont, TX, who was the original owner. The sax was unfortunately stolen by one of his students in the 1970's, but he got it back after a few months. Looking at the serial number, it looks like there was an attempt to obscure it. However, the serial number is fortunately still visible, and I've included a couple of close-ups for a better examination of the area.
