Selmer Super Action Series II Baritone Saxophone Excellent Condition
Up for sale is my personal Selmer Series II baritone saxophone. I have decided to switch to a Yamaha 62, so as a result, this one won't get the playing time it deserves.
As far as Selmer Super Action Series II baris go, this one for me is as good as it gets. It has a very nice, pleasing tone slightly on the brigher side. I've tried plenty of series II baris that are stuffy and lack projection, but this one has no problem in that regard. The sound is absolutely huge on this without being too bright or shrill. It is a hefty horn, and you can hear that in the sound. I have played this horn professionally at venues such as the 2015 Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, the Kennedy Center, the Marine John Philip Sousa Band Hall, among other places.
It's in tip top mechanical shape, having been recently serviced in February 2015 (pads regulated, neck cork replaced). Cosmetically, it's in great shape with only a few small dings and some light scratches. The low Eb key has a bit of natural lacquer wear, as well as the neck tenon ring. The sax comes in its original black rectangular Selmer case which is in decent condition.
I would much prefer to sell it locally and have the buyer pick it up in person, but I am also willing to ship the horn. I have lots of experience shipping saxophones, so I will make sure it's packed extremely well if shipped.
