Straight Keilwerth SX90R Alto Saxophone, Video
Keilwerth SX90R straight alto saxophone, s/n 99197. This saxophone was made in 1993, and it could practically pass for a new saxophone. The SX90R is Keilwerth's top of the line professional saxophone, and features rolled tone holes, adjustable palm keys and a high F# key. To the player, the sax sounds quite a bit different than a typical curved alto saxophone, perhaps due to the direction and distance of the bell. It has a warmth to the sound and is a treat to play and hear. This sax was previously owned by a professional saxophonist who is a prominent Keilwerth artist.
My tech just serviced this saxophone prior to sale. The pads are in excellent condition and seal very well from top to bottom. There are very few imperfections and the original lacquer is almost 100% perfect. The only noticeable blemish I see is a ding that was previously removed just above the neck strap ring. The sax comes in its original custom case, also in excellent condition.
