1957 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 70246. Here's an early Mark VI alto sax that is one of the most pristine horns to ever come through. Everything is original on this horn, including the pads and reusable metal resonators. Despite having original pads and likely never having been adjusted out of the factory in Elkhart, IN, the sax still plays great, responding easily down to low Bb.
Sonically, the sax is very even from top to bottom and has a dark, rich sound with plenty of power when you want to push the volume. It really sounds as good as it looks.
The neck is original to the sax and has a matching serial number. It has never been bent down. The sax comes with the original Chesterfield case.
