213,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with approximately 98% original lacquer. Here's a gorgeous Mark VI with almost all of its original lacquer still present and in great condition. The sax was just serviced prior to sale by my tech, who replaced four pads, 3 key corks and 3 felts. The rest of the pads are a mix with many original pads. They are all sealing very well and the horn plays with ease from top to bottom. The neck is original to the horn and has never been bent down.
Mark VI's around the 200,xxx serial number range are great horns and and an excellent value. They tend to have an extra gear when you want to push the volume, but are still incredibly expressive instruments. Plus, the altos have a medium bow which is generally considered the best combination of excellent intonation, sound and response.
