1969 163,xxx Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone. Here is a one-owner horn with approximately 93% original lacquer. My repairman just adjusted the horn prior to sale, so the horn plays the entire range with a minimum of effort. The pads are a mix of new and older, but they are sealing very well.
Overall, this is a great example of a later 1960's Mark VI. The neck is original to the horn and never has been bent down. If you look closely, you'll see that there was previously a mic pickup in the neck that was patched with a flush metal plug. The work is top notch and is barely visible. This Mark VI has a rare high F#, which for some players is a requirement.
This is a great playing horn. It has a great core with a ton of power and projection. There's some nice complexity and sweetness to the sound, and the horn responds well in all dynamic ranges.
