1937 Selmer Balanced Action alto saxophone, s/n 25053. Here's a nearly 90 year old vintage Selmer alto that is in great shape considering its age. The sax is very clean, with no signs of significant repairs or damage during its lifetime. There are zero resolders. The neck is original and has never been bent down. Like the vast majority of horns this age, the sax doesn't have its original lacquer, but this was likely done just for cosmetic reasons.
My repairman just serviced the sax prior to sale. He replaced two pads, the neck cork and a handful of key corks. I'd estimate the pads are midlife and appear to be in good condition. They're sealing great and I can play easily in all registers.
