1971 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 194236. This saxophone has its original lacquer and approximately 98% remains. The pads are still in great condition and have a lot of life left. The sax is set up with domed metal resonators. The neck is original to the horn. It comes in the original case.
This sax was previously owned by the former lead alto player of the US Army Blues, one of the premier DC military jazz bands. He kept this horn in excellent playing condition. This is a great playing horn that's set up well. Mark VI's around the 200,xxx serial number range are great horns and an excellent value. They tend to have an extra gear when you want to push the volume, but are still incredibly expressive instruments.
