1941 Conn 26M "Connqueror" Alto Saxophone – Serial #304152
Conn produced very few 26M alto saxophones—these Artist models had to be specially ordered, with only about 1 made for every 100 standard 6Ms. That puts total production around just 2,200 horns, and far fewer are likely to remain today.
This particular example is from an exceptional vintage. It's a prewar model, stamped 26M VIII, with the matching VIII stamp on the neck.
The horn was just serviced by my repairman prior to sale. He replaced two pads, four key corks, and regulated the remaining pads, which are still in excellent condition with plenty of life left and sealing well. It comes in a Saxpack case, which comfortably accommodates the reversed bell keys unique to this model.
