1949 318,xxx Buescher 400 tenor saxophone. Many consider the Top Hat and Cane model to be the finest horn Buescher ever made. This horn has a tremendous sound that is full of warmth and character. The sax was recently overhauled by the previous owner. My tech just serviced the horn, so the pads are sealing perfectly and the horn feels locked in. The sax comes in the original case. The lacquer is likely not original. The neck is original to the horn, and it appears as if the taper/angle was previously adjusted. There are some faint vertical lines on the body tube, which I'm guessing is from some dentwork previously performed.
