195,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with approximately 92% original lacquer. Here is a medium bow Mark VI alto saxophone that is in excellent original condition. The sax is currently owned by a friend of mine who is a doctoral saxophonist at one of the top conservatories in the US. He is very particular with the response and ergonomics of this sax, and has customized the hand touches to suit his needs. As you can see, most hand touches have been raised, and the result is excellent. The sax feels easy to play and the keywork feels natural. Of course, these touches can be removed for the purist.

The pads are mostly of intermediate age and still have a lot of life left. The sax feels very well regulated, and nothing needs to be done to it. This is a very even sounding horn from top to bottom, and it has the typical sound and projection that you'd expect from a later VI. Basically, it's awesome!
