1957 69,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with 99%+ original lacquer. This one owner saxophone is perhaps the best example of a 5-digit 1950's horn we've ever gotten in here at DC Sax. It arrived in the original case with all of its original pads and reusable metal resonators. There are few surface scratches, and no dents dings or resolders. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. The only thing I can really criticize about the horn is that the interior of the case will need repair. It looks like the top 1/4" of wood split apart so needs to be re-glued and the fabric refastened to the shell. Otherwise, the exterior of the case is stunning and both zippers move freely and easily.

The saxophone is equipped with all of its original pads, which are over 60 years old. This would be a tremendous horn for both a collector wanting to preserve a horn it its original form, or a player who wants an original condition 5-digit horn which can be repadded and configured to their preference.
