Otto Link Tone Edge Slant Signature alto saxophone mouthpiece. This mouthpiece arrived with a cracked shank and an uneven facing curve, so it was sent out to The Mouthpiece Guys, Erik G and Brian Powell. Erik resealed the crack and put a great looking metal band on the shank to prevent any crack from ever happening again. The mouthpiece was originally a 9 tip opening, and Brian refaced the mouthpiece to a 6*, or .078".
 
This is a great sounding mouthpiece. The baffle is higher than other Link alto mouthpieces I have seen, so it plays a bit brighter than other vintage Links which in my opinion can sometimes be a bit stuffy. It has a similar feel and response to a NY Meyer but there's a bit more sweetness and color to the sound. This is a very nice playing mouthpiece.
