Rampone and Cazzani R1 Jazz soprano saxophone, s/n 28027. This is a 100% Italian-made, hand-crafted soprano saxophone with a silver-plated finish. It was lightly used by the previous owner and remains in excellent condition. The pads are still like new, and the sax comes in its original case, which is also in excellent condition.
The R1 Jazz has a lot of personality. Its core sound is velvety and dark, with a rich, lyrical quality. Push it a bit harder and it opens up with vibrant color and punch. There’s a wide range of tonal character to explore, making it the kind of horn that keeps you wanting to play it.
