104,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone, Video Demo
1963 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 104627. This is a great-playing Selmer Mark VI tenor that shares many of the tonal characteristics of the late 5-digit horns—complex, powerful, and full of color. It’s an excellent example of what makes this era of Mark VIs so sought after.
The horn has had its lacquer removed at some point, and it’s likely the finish wasn’t original before that. The neck is original and bears the matching serial number; it previously had some repairs but is structurally sound and plays well. It comes in the original Selmer case.
It was recently overhauled by Saxquest and is in top playing shape. The pads are still in like-new condition and have TM Custom reusable brass resonators installed.
