201,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone, Amazing Player, Video
1972 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 201187, previously owned by Mike Cemprola. Many of you know that Mike is the saxophonist behind most of the DC Sax demo videos. He's played hundreds of Mark VI tenors over the years, and in 2020 chose this one to be his primary horn. Although he recently switched to a 203,xxx Mark VI tenor, this one still ranks as his second favorite Mark VI of all time, a strong endorsement from someone who’s played just about everything.
This horn has previously been relacquered, but it's still a stunning example of a 200,xxx range Mark VI. Fantastic projection, tons of energy and a killer sound. The horn was overhauled by Eric Beach in 2020, and is regularly maintained by him. It's locked in and playing incredibly well.
