1938 26,xxx Selmer Balanced Action Alto Saxophone
1937 26,xxx Selmer Balanced Action alto saxophone. Here's an early Balanced Action alto saxophone that was just set up by my tech. The pads are not new, but have a fair amount of life left on them. The are sealing very well. This sax has an older relacquer, but the overall shape of the horn is excellent. The sax comes in a vintage Selmer case that is in decent condition.
This sax has a beautiful warm tone that these early BA's are known for. The response is even up and down the horn. The horn feels responsive and supple under your fingers. These are engaging and fun horns to play.
