1956 200,xxx Martin Committee "The Martin" tenor saxophone. Here is a gorgeous vintage Martin that just received an overhaul from Eric Beach, who is one of the best repair techs in the business. He uses top of the line materials, including Pisoni Pro pads. This horn is in remarkable shape for its age. The body is in great shape and there are no dents or dings. There was some very minor dentwork performed, mainly below the RH thumb hook, most likely caused by chair contact. The bell flare is perfect as is the neck, also original to the horn. The sax most likely has previously been refinished, but the engraving is clear and crisp. I wouldn't be surprised if many disagreed with my assessment, but to be on the safe side, we are calling the finish non-original. Regardless, this is a truly beautiful looking and playing vintage Martin.
