133,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone, Original Lacquer
1966 133,xxx Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone with approximately 70% original lacquer. This is a wonderful playing mid 1960's Mark VI tenor which is one of the more expressive Mark VI's you're likely to find. It has a sweetness and complexity to the sound that sets this one apart. It can certainly be pushed, but this one shines in its lyricism and rich harmonics.
The saxophone is in great condition. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. There are no pickups and no signs of damage. My tech replaced a handful of pads prior to sale, and the others look great. The horn speaks effortlessly from top to bottom.
The sax arrived with an aftermarket case in so-so condition, so I've upgraded the case to a new/never used Bam Cabine. This is a top of the line case that retails for around $400. I use the same case professionally and love it. It looks great and is one of the most protective cases on the market.
