Here is a 1950's Selmer Chesterfield single alto saxophone case. Selmer USA originally made single and triple Chesterfield cases. The triple always had a zipper, and the singles were the only ones with latches. The zippers always seem to fail on old Selmer cases, so with this one, you won't have to worry about that. The single cases are great, as the vast majority of the time I don't want the extra weight of doubles for gigs and practicing.
This came to me from the original owner who said the case never made it out of his closet after around the early 1960's. The case is nearly perfect. The stitches are nearly all intact, the latches work perfectly, the felt looks great. You don't come across original 1950's cases in this condition very often.
There are a couple of small spots and scuffs here and there, but overall, this case is in wonderful condition worthy of any vintage Mark VI.
