1958 75,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone, Near Mint, WOW!
1958 75,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone with 99+% original lacquer. Here's a pristine 5-digit Mark VI tenor saxophone that just arrived from the estate of the original owner. This sax was played very little in its life. The original owner was a clarinetist and played the sax very little. Everything is original. The pads and reusable metal resonators are all still intact and in good condition. The neck is in equally incredible condition and has the matching serial number. The sax comes in the original Chesterfield Tripack which is nearly perfect as well. There are some imperfections in the finish, so please take a close look at all of the pictures. However, I've never seen a 5-digit Mark VI tenor that looks this good. Wow!
Despite having the original pads and the horn not sealing 100%, it's apparent that this is an incredible horn. The sound is full and alive, and it has a beautiful presence and ring that a great 5-digit horn has. If you're looking for the very best, this is the one. The sax is being sold in its present condition, without any sort of service done. This horn can be kept as-is as a museum piece, or overhauled by your favorite tech.
