This horn arrived with an old 1960's-1970's relacquer that was spotty in many places. My tech performed a chemical strip to remove the remaining lacquer, so what you see here is raw brass. Just like unlacquered horns, this one will quickly develop its own unique patina and will darken up as it oxidizes. In fact, many players prefer raw brass horns because they tend to vibrate more freely. Take a close look at the engraving in the pictures -- you can see essentially all of the engraving details, which means that when the relacquer was performed, it was done with little to no buffing. This horn could certainly pass for one that had never been relacquered. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching s/n. It has never been bent down.
