1965 124,xxx Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone 99% Original Lacquer, Fresh Overhaul
1965 124,xxx Mark VI alto saxophone with 99% original lacquer. This is a horn in great condition for its age, and it shows only light signs of use. My repairman performed a full overhaul on the horn so it's playing absolutely perfectly. There are very few imperfections with this horn. The neck taper/angle was reset and a tiny bit of freckling of the lacquer occurred during the repair. It's now perfectly round and corrected, so nothing more needs to be done. Also, the bell flare looks to have been previously repaired. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. As you can see from the pictures, the finish of the lacquer is gorgeous, and extremely well preserved for a horn over 50 years old. The sax comes in its original case which is in great condition.
The sax plays extremely well from top to bottom. It has a full and even sound that has a bit more punch and projection than others I've tried around this s/n range.
