1965 130,xxx Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone
1965 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 130164. This is a very nice playing long bow Mark VI. The long bow horns have an extra bit of depth and presence due to the slightly elongated bow. It plays slightly on the darker end of the spectrum, so would be a great crossover horn in both classical and jazz.
The sax likely doesn't have its original coat of lacquer, but the engraving is still very detailed, indicating that the sax received very little buffing during the relacquer process. The pads are sealing perfectly and are a mix of new and older pads. The sax comes in a brand new Peak Performance Bam case which is very protective and fits the sax perfectly.
