197,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone in near mint condition. Here is an immaculate one-owner Mark VI that just arrived with all original pads. There are few signs of use. It's almost 100% scratch free and a couple tiny dings on the bow. My tech regulated the pads and replaced a few. He took out the dents in the bottom bow as well.
This sax is an absolute joy to play, and is one of the best Mark VI altos I've ever tried. The action feels tight and springy, like a new horn that has barely been played. The pads are sealing perfectly, so getting around on this horn from low Bb to high F is a breeze. This is one of the most even sounding and responding Mark VI altos I've ever played. The sound has that rare vocal quality that is found in the very best Mark VI's. I don't think you can do much better than a horn like this that is in near mint condition and approaching 50 years old.
