1974 227,xxx Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone with 99%+ original lacquer. Here's a stunning Mark VI tenor that just received a full mechanical overhaul from Eric Beach, whose work is world class. He uses top of the line materials including Pisoni Pro Pads. His keywork is excellent, and the horn feels tight and locked in. The neck is original to the horn and in excellent condition, and was ever so slightly readjusted by Eric during the overhaul process. The case is original to the horn and both zippers work.
Many players love later Mark VI tenors right around the 200,xxx range. They tend to have some extra power and projection. This horn has a colorful, round sound that is dense and powerful. The sound stays full without thinning when you push it. This is a great sounding later Mark VI.
