Yanagisawa A-WO10 Alto Saxophone, Just Serviced, Mint Condition
Yanagisawa A-WO10 alto saxophone, s/n 350130. This is Yanagisawa's top of the line professional saxophone. It's a great playing horn that I think rivals anything else Selmer and Yamaha are producing today. The sound is gorgeous and even in all registers. There's excellent projection when you need the power, but I think the soft to medium dynamics are were this horn really excels. The sound stays even and resonant in all dynamic ranges down to the softest whisper, with very expressive and colorful tonality.
The sax was previously owned by an adult player, and was kept in perfect condition. It would be hard to tell the difference between this horn and one that came straight from the factory. This horn has very few hours of playing time on it, and the action and pads are still in new condition. My tech just adjusted the horn prior to sale, so the pads are sealing perfectly. This really compares favorably to a new horn, without the "new" price.
