Selmer Series II Tenor Saxophone
1988 Selmer Series II tenor saxophone, s/n 412939. This is an early Series II, made just a couple of years after Selmer introduced the model. The sax has been played professionally and shows the expected wear from regular use, but it's in good condition overall. The pads are in great condition and are sealing well. The sax comes in its original case.
The Series II is Selmer's top of the line professional tenor saxophone and the most popular pro model sold in the US. These horns have a warm sound with a lot of presence, and they are very even and remarkably well in tune. They're extremely easy to play in all registers and dynamic levels. Selmer has now been making the Series II for 40 years, twice as long as the Mark VI, which says something about its enduring appeal.
