1967 149,xxx Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone with approximately 96% original lacquer. This is a tremendous playing Mark VI that has both a complex voice and tremendous projection. My tech just regulated this sax, so it's playing very well. The pads are in good condition and still have a lot of life left in them. It has a full set of domed metal rivetless resonators. My tech performed minor dentwork mainly on the bow, and adjusted the taper/angle of the neck. The sax comes in the original case. Both zippers move freely but are missing their leads.
I adore 14x,xxx Mark VI tenors. They have the tonal complexity similar earlier Mark VI's, but with extra power and projection of later models. In a sense, it's the best of both worlds. This one takes on air especially well and maintains a beautiful focus in all registers and dynamics. What a fun horn to play!
