1971 Selmer Mark VI, s/n 185119. For the Mark VI model Selmer offered several finishes: standard lacquer, silver plated and lacquered body with silver plated keys. The last version is rarely seen and is quite a unique look. My repairman just serviced this horn. He replaced 13 pads, the neck cork, 8 key corks and 3 felts. He also removed a microphone pickup on the neck with a flush mount plug that is barely visible. The neck is original to the horn and has never been bent down. The lacquer is original with 99% still present. The sax comes in its original case. The sax has an optional high F#. At the time, this was a $30 add-on cost, and most customers went with the less expensive version. These days, a high F# key is a must for many saxophonists, so this is a great opportunity to find a vintage Mark VI with the added high F# key.
