1936 Conn 26M "Connqueror" Alto Saxophone, s/n 271536. This sax has its original lacquer with approximately 90% remaining.
Conn produced very few 26M alto saxophones—these Artist models had to be specially ordered, with only about 1 made for every 100 standard 6Ms. That puts total production around just 2,200 horns, and far fewer are likely to remain today.
This horn just received a full mechanical overhaul from Eric Beach, who is one of the best repairmen in the business. He affixed this one with domed rivetless resonators. Eric spends countless hours on key fitting, which gives the sax an amazing feel, like that of a new saxophone fresh from the factory.
