Here's an early Balanced Action alto saxophone that was manufactured in just the second year of this model's production. I acquired this horn from a professional saxophonist who didn't play enough alto to justify keeping this beauty. It's in excellent playing condition as you'd expect it to be, and the pads seal well and have a lot of life left in them. The lacquer is not original, but the horn has developed a gorgeous patina over the years. The engraving looks great and is a beautiful vintage design that you don't see too often.
This sax has a beautiful warm tone that these early BA's are known for. The response is super fast and incredibly even up and down the horn.
