1946 Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone, Just Serviced
1946 Conn 10M tenor saxophone. This sax was just serviced by my tech prior to sale. The horn arrived with brand new pads that looked like they had never been used. My tech evened every tone hole before reassembling and regulating the pads. This sax has rolled tone holes, but they appear to be on the thin side, possibly from when the sax got a new coat of lacquer. Specifically, low Eb, side Bb, side C are missing some or all portions of the rolled tone hole. Ironically, these pads naturally stay closed, so you're not losing the feel of rolled tone holes. Regardless, the pads are sealing perfectly on newly leveled tone holes, and the sax feels tight and locked in.
